Lantern Academy opens in September 2022 and replaces Queenswood Primary School as a new academy in the Learning Community Trust. Our new Headteacher, Michelle Skidmore, is now in post and she is delighted to have been appointed to our new school.

There has been considerable work at Lantern Academy ready for opening in September 2022 and these include:-

• A commitment to ensure are children are happy, safe and enjoy school
• A new curriculum for children to improve their learning
• A new Headteacher
• A new team of fantastic teachers in all classes
• Additional support in English and Maths
• A new logo and vision
• A new uniform for the children
• Lots of improvements to classrooms and furniture
• New signs
• Work will commence to upgrade the building in September finishing in December 2022
