Admissions and Appeals for places at LCT Academies

The Learning Community Trust works in partnership with Telford and Wrekin Council over admissions to all its academies except for Severndale which is in partnership with Shropshire County Council.

Applications to LCT Primary and Secondary Academies

If you wish to apply for a place for your child in one of our mainstream primary or secondary academies, please follow the link below and select “Apply for a school place on the School Admissions Portal” which will provide you with all the information and the forms you require.

Please note that to complete an admissions application you will need to create a ‘My Telford Account’ first.

Queensway School

Queensway Special School has a different admissions procedure, which requires a child to have an Education Health Care (EHC) Plan. Places are allocated by the Trust in partnership with Telford and Wrekin Council through a placements panel for Special Schools in the Borough. If you wish your child to be considered for a place, then discuss this with the SENCo in your child’s school or contact the SEND team at Telford and Wrekin Council at the link below.

Severndale School

Severndale Special School has a different admissions procedure, which requires a child to have an Education Health Care (EHC) Plan. Learning Community Trust Admission Appeals for mainstream Academies

When a year group is full, and we are not able to offer a place, parents can either request to be put on the waiting list or they have the right to Appeal. The waiting list uses our oversubscription criteria, which can be found in each academies Admissions Policy and in the following document;-

Determined Admissions 2021-2023
Proposed Determined Admissions 2022-2024 Lantern Academy and AllScott Meads

If you wish to appeal for a place in one of our schools then you will need to download the appeals form below or from the individual school website, complete it and send it to the school on the email address provided.

The administrator in charge of admissions and appeals will work with the Admissions Team at Telford and Wrekin Council and keep you informed of the process and timescales for the appeal.

Appeals are heard within a 30 day timescale, not including holidays and weekends.
