Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit the Learning Community Trust website. We hope you will be able to gain an insight into our ethos, vision, aims and the way we work through the documents and information presented here.

We want our mainstream schools to be the first choice for parents . . . because they are great schools, because they are their local school, and because they serve the community they live in. We strongly believe schools should be at the heart of the community and that we really support our families as their child progresses through their school-life.

Our focus is to ensure our children are happy, safe and achieve at each stage of their education from nursery through to the end of Year 11; gaining the best qualifications they can. We also want our children to be amazing young people who are respectful, can communicate well, have a great work ethic, and value all others in our society. It is important we prepare them for further and higher education, apprenticeships, employment and the world of work.

For our Special Schools we are determined that our schools have high aspirations for children, that they support children’s individual needs and ensure they are happy, safe, well- cared for, enjoy school and make the best possible progress in our care. They need to be as prepared, as all other young people, for the next steps in their lives.

We support and challenge our schools to be the very best they can be. Our core business is school improvement, and we have a focussed school improvement strategy working with the leaders in our schools. We employ a fantastic attendance and welfare team which supports our pastoral teams in our schools daily.

We provide a wide range of services, great buildings and sites which are well maintained and resourced, they are stimulating places to learn and work. We believe environment is so important for our children and staff.

This is an exciting time for LCT as we have grown and developed over the last few years. Our amazing staff are highly committed to the children in our Trust and want to do the very best for them whatever their role in school or across LCT.

"Our vision is to provide an outstanding education for all of our children and young people that prepares them to be successful in all they do both now and in the future."Dr G. Eatough, CEO of the LCT
